 don't worry about me. i'm only in the most beautiful place in the world. with the greatest people ever. wine is cheaper than water. church bells dingdong every thirty minutes. every morning the sun wakes me up promptly at eight. we handwash our clothes. and eat a three-course meal for dinner every night. the hill is turning our legs and butts to steel. the peanut butter comes in small jars and costs almost 5 euro. but nothing beats the pastries. i could get used to this. | ||||||||

| the cruise was pretty enjoyable. i'd go again, but under much different circumstances. now i'm just killing time until italy. i'm watching an unhealthy amount of television. i made a journal covered with buttons. and i got lots of film for my camera. it would be great if i could switch from painting to photography. i'm spending some quality time with my beau and i want to remember things as they are right now when i'm away. madonna's new song is catchy, but how does she look so good for her age. robot? | ||||||||

| i just wrote 11 pages for a paper with a 7- to 10-page limit. i hope my wordiness pays off. now i just have to build a corpus of TIME magazine articles and write a 10-page paper on it. and then write a 3- to 4-page paper for my geography class. and then take two finals, one right after the other, on wednesday. piece of cake. so i turned 21 on sunday and boy was that exciting. i guess i thought lightning was going to strike and make me feel different, but not really. now i can drink (legally) and gamble. wooooo! ryan got me the awesome camera i wanted. sam got me some awesome shoes that i found out must not be worn with socks or else i'll slip. in bad news, i got a ticket for running a stop light. fuck you, UGA rent-a-cops. "i sure don't like writing tickets, but when it's red, it's red." NO SHIT. THAT'S WHY I DON'T RUN RED LIGHTS. on my first trip to the liquor store i bought some andre peach champage for the low price of $3.99 (for celebratory, post-finals drunkenness, of course) and creme de menthe (for hot chocolate, of course). | ||||

| do you ever go back and read something you write a long time ago and can't believe that you wrote it? that happened to me tonight. i had a productive day. i cleaned the bathroom. i gave the cats' litterbox a makeover. i did laundry. and now i'm at work. working hard, of course. i have to start compiling a list of all the books i want to read. speaking of which, i finished shopgirl in two days flat and loved it. aside from the descriptions of the creepy old guy having sex with someone young enough to be his daughter. other than that, great. now i have to see the movie. and in case i forgot to write about it, italy is final. i really am going. | ||||||||

| i'm trying to write a paper on electronic text analysis that is the equivalent of a four-page academic-esque journal entry. maserati friday and soofyan saturday. eek! two shows in two days? this isn't normal for us. mtv has managed to create both the worst and best show on mtv in my super sweet sixteen. but that doesn't answer the question of when (if?) next is coming back. i'm tired of being the only one who buys cat food. if you really loved me, you'd give me money so i can study abroad in italy. this new grandaddy song is grrreat. | ||||||||||

| so instead of studying for the two tests i have on wednesday, i am instead enjoying the hilarity and insanity that is i came across this gem that perfectly sums up my feelings on plutarch: Guy: Plutarch was-- Girl: Plutarch can suck my cunt. He was stupid. for those of you who don't know, plutarch wrote a series of narratives which compared the life of a famous greek to a famous roman. i had to read excerpts from lives last semester, and this girl sums up in two sentences all the antipathy i felt for plutarch for an entire semester. fantastic! | ||||||||
